When i took this picture, it was 3 days to the new year (2009). How fast time flies as we're already half-way through the first month. That being said, Nate has grown awfully fast. Well actually, there's nothing too awful about that_ in fact, its awesome. He's starting to show his character and we still don't really know how much of which parent he has in him. To start with, he looks like a complete cross between me and terence, resulting in looking like neither of us really. I'm guessing he's character's not very different. He's starting to talk a lot more and lately, the word of the day ... for many days now.. is "somemore". Used most conveniently and especially to his advantage (actually that sounds a lot like me). I just told a friend that he's convinced he's conversing with us even if he's just really saying two words. Active? Yes. Very. Too much for me. Always climbing, jumping and hopping around the house. He's even tried going down our stairs by himself to get to grandma on the other level. He doesn't seem to be too frightened to try new things. That to me, is good news.
The one weird thing which i can't really place right now is his love for bitter foods. He hates cakes, sweets and loves his vegetables and balinjal. Yes. Balinjal that bitter fried koropok. I miss Nate as a baby but i do love that he's growing up and starting to do more stuff with me. I'm waiting for the day he'll go for a run with me, a swim and then a bike ride. Looking at those calf muscles, i'm sure he'll out swim, bike and run me anytime.
