holding on to his own mask
So we went to see Nate's wonderful ped Dr Terence Tan this morning for an update and review on the peanut's condition.
> the phlegm in Nate's lungs has cleard by 20%
> air passage is slightly better so he's a little less chesty
> anti-biotics is helping contain the bacteria found to be present from his mucus swab test
> no need for hospitalisation or drip (thank God)
he/I have to however,
> continue to Nab him (nabulize him)
> continue with the Augmentin (anti-biotics)
> continue with every other medication that i'm currently giving him

falling asleep while being nabbed
Good news is that prayer works. Nate is now more receptive to the "terrifying" Nabulizer which makes "monstrous" noise and realises that you get quite a nice "high" from inhaling all the drugs. He sometimes even falls asleep during the process. Maybe it's the monotonous droning motor that puts him to sleep. But whatever it is, i'm not complaining. Now if he'd only react the same way to shringes and medication. He's still throwing up his milk and takes only 80ml as compared to him usual 150ml.I now have to remember to take my own medications (i too am asthmatic) so that I won't fall ill, taking care of him in the process.
Next appointment is on Wednesday April 11, 2007.
