the one and only picture i've taken with my SLR camera
fifth month has come and gone and nate's into his 6th.
there's nothing major to report except that he's suddenly become pretty easy *knock on wood* in the sense that he can entertain himself and be left alone to do his own thing (whatever it is) without needing to be picked up. Maybe it's attributed to the fact that he's found a way to sooth himself which has in turn, become a serious habit. FINGER SUCKING. sometimes 2; if not, 3. All 4 fingers on occasion. depends on the stress level. But the cool part is that nate's ability to lie down and talk to himself or count his toes til he falls asleep leaves me time to do some housework or office work. So i'm not complaining.

It gets funny when he combines the finger sucking habit with the head-scratching.On talking: i have one thing to say. NON-STOP.nothing beats hearing a baby babble in the morning; except chuckling. He's started to feel ticklish as well.

if you know the theme song for the Alfred Hitchcock series, now's the time to humm it
I guess from a non-scientific background and with just the basic observation skills, i think nate's developed the finer senses which triggers reactions from him. Like observation / reactions / sensations / reactions / recognition / reactions...
Oh and Nate has some serious eye-contact going on.
Oh and Nate has some serious eye-contact going on.
I wish i could tell what he was thinking about sometimes.
On eating habits.
On eating habits.I have yet to start him on solids because once you start, you're committed and i haven't had the time but it's not an excuse. i'm starting to feel based on my maternal instincts that nate is not satisfied with just milk. So i shall try it this weekend. and i hope he's as excited as i am.

Oh we love going out together Going out has become such a pleasant experience and last night, we went to Kaz Bar (its actually a place which serves really really really excellent middle-eastern food and drinks) and nate's totally into middle-eastern music. He started dancing to it and couldn't stop dancing. He did however, sleep through the whole belly dancing routine. Why did i bring nate to such a place? oh because my colleague/friend came back to visit from Indonesia.

nate at 3 days old
Until now, i still can't believe that a couple of weeks ago, this little person was inside my body. Man they grow so fast. And it gets more interesting as they start to evolve from just being like a house pet to a tiny human with personality and character. scary but fun.
