Sick Leave.

The helmet
This morning i learnt that Nate gets really bored at home.

This week, i took him out of day care because he's been ill and I didn't want him infecting others and worse still, picking up more viruses with a low resistance. This morning, he started complaining, getting grouchy and he looked as if he was feeling frustrated and refused to do anything that i offered him. Over the weekend, we've been to East Coast 4 times, the Garden Slug, where he rode in his own car, (which incidentally, he wouldn't get out off even now) and to also been to Desker Road, not for the sightseeing but to meet with Terence and Bryan for lunch and also got himself hooked onto Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. I'm still trying to figure what it is with boys and trains. Until recently, i never knew that Ringo Starr was the story teller for the Thomas and Friends TV series. And it's been a long time since i've heard anyone use the words "cross" in the context such as: "Goron, Henry and Edward were left behind in the Sidings, while Thomas got to pull carriages. And they were very CROSS about that." and then Gordon being embarrassed by another younger and smaller train "peeps his horn" and exclaims: " Oh the Shame of It. Oh the Shame of It!"
I think the last time i heard anyone speak like that was when my mathematics teacher strutted around in her chiong sam with her well set hair and she would make us say Naught point Naught two five as opposed to 0.025. Sheesh. Nate better grow up speaking the queen's english with all this Thomas brainwashing.
So anyway.
We've also bought extensions for our train tracks. Now that he's better, we'll get back into the day care routine again and let's hope this gets him less frustrated.
